SNOW TIME!!!

We had some snow last week. Lots of it. It was a lot of fun. We even had a lot of wind,(guest of to 50 mph) which isn't fun, but we survived. The boys love it. Derek on top of what he calls "Derek's Castle"
Even Rosie loves the snow.

What a great guy. Shoveling a foot or more of snow of our drive way, but he had help from the boys and me.

This is outside our window on Wednesday morning. This storm shut the whole state down for a bit, but not my husband. We don't have 4-wheel drive so we couldn't get out of the drive way, but he just dressed up and started walking. What a guy.

I love my boys. Here are some pics from today's trip to the park. Thanks for the hats Kevin, the boys love them.

I forgot to put the lotion away after their baths. This is what Nathan decided to do with it. He is so silly. At least lotion is an easy on for me to clean.

Birthdays

Because the boys are so close in age we just did one big birthday party for them. It was easier for us and them. Derek would have had a fit waiting to get his presents. Everything they got was identical. It is like having twins. We had a blast with everyone that came over. Thanks all for making it a fun evening.

This is a present from mom. She wants them to learn to hunt with Grandpa Yeager. This is the beginning. Derek loves it. They also got light sabers at moms insistance. Mom is much more into boy stuff for her boys then dad. At least the weapons kind. :-) I'm a tom boy farm girl at heart.

Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN. Our boys love Buzz so we had them both be buzzed. Some friends gave us a tigger out fit for Daniel. They all looked so cute and had fun with halloween this year.

Derek and Nathan had more fun handing out candy then getting it. It was so much fun to watch there excitment each time the door bell rang.

Daniel Smiles

Derek and Nathan went to Grandma and Grandpa's for a week, and we got a lot of alone time with Daniel. We loved it. He came alive while they were gone. He really began to get a personality and thrived with all the extra attention from us. It was great. Thanks G & G.

This is my personal favorite. I got his smile on video, and he is in one of my favorite winter outfits. Thanks Uncle Terry and Aunt Karen for this outfit. All 3 boys have worn it.

Pool Time

Our little boys have always loved water. This video will give you an idea of how brave they are around/in water. They will be great swimmers when they get older.

FOOTBALL

The boys have loved going to football games this year. We have also enjoyed taking them. They are little social boys and visit with everyone. There are a group of boys that all have to give the boys high fives and fist bumps when they see them. Nathan has also showed us he is ready for football. There is an area where all the high school students stand and you have to push your way through. Nathan has no fear for a little guy and he dives right in a pushes his way through. I can never keep us with him. And of course they love the popcorn. Regular photo vs. cartoon. Which do you like better?
Nathan is our little dancer. Anytime there is music he goes at it. Sorry it is the wrong direction. I corrected it in Kodak, but it didn't tranfere to here. Anyone know how I can change it?

Messes and Fun

I had some fun with our Pictures. They have a Cartoon Button that makes fun pictures. This is of Derek and Nathan at the Park, one of there favorite hang outs. We go here almost daily. What an adorable kid!!! We love him so much.

Grandma Yeager came for a visit after Daniel got home. It was great to have her here. The boys loved it so much. They called her "merma." Thanks for coming mom. We love you tons. Wish we could be closer.

The following videos are of my little mess makers. The sink on was no big deal. The one with eggs, well lets just say I seriously considered sending them to live with Grandpa Yeager on the farm for a couple of weeks. We had to shampoo our carpets. What a mess.

Daniel

Daniel is doing great. Here is some video and pics of him. He is almost 10 lbs. Pretty good for starting out at 4 lbs 4 oz.

Surgery.

So, the last week has been insane crazy, along with the last month being just plain always crazy. I am going to update with photos tonight and tomorrow. The insane crazy was taking Daniel to the ER last Saturday night. He had a very swollen groin area and had been fussy all day. We knew something was hurting him. After finding that we called the ER doctor who said to come in. She said he had a hernia and was afraid it might be twisted causing problems. She called the children's hospital who said to come down for emergency surgery. Daniel left in an ambulance and I went home to get Jordan.

We called the Bishop in our ward, who has a great daughter, and she came to stay the night with the boys. Long story short, by the time Daniel got to Des Moines he was better. The hernia had gone back in place. They had us stay over night. The doctor looked at him and scheduled surgery for Tuesday morning. He had a double hernia surgery and now has two cuts on his little tummy. Poor kid. He is doing much better and is a happy boy again, so it was worth it. And to top it off Jordan's mom came to help so we got to see grandma. That was very nice. Thanks for coming mom.

We were able to get a quick family photo after church. We should have done it before church as the kids were happy and not tired, but at least we have one.
