Family Photo and Fun

We were able to get a quick family photo after church. We should have done it before church as the kids were happy and not tired, but at least we have one.

Daniel Part II

I was to tired to keep posting last night so here are a few more videos for your enjoyment.

Derek built his first Mr. Potato Head all by himself. He has always asked for help, but this time he did it on his own. I thought he did a great job.

Last time I sent the Grandmas a picture in the mail of Derek crying they said it made them want to come rushing over to hold him. I thought this might do the trick also. Come and cuddle him. :-) This is actually a rare thing for our little guy. He has only cried a couple of time.

Welcome Home Daniel

Here are some pictures of Daniel and us. We were in MI, for 10 days. We spent 3 days in Detroit and then the rest at my Aunt and Uncle's house. We so enjoyed our stay with them. I haven't seen them and visited with them for any length of time in years. It was a nice visit. Daniel is doing great.

We were able to spend a few hours with the boy's birth mother. It was a very neat experience. The boys aren't shy and when Derek gave her a hug she started crying. It was very touching to see her love for them. The boys enjoyed her and played with her nicely. People have asked us which of the boys most look like her. After this trip I have decided it is Nathan. There is a video below that if you pause you can see them face to face. They have the same nose, eyes and facial shape. We enjoyed seeing Kim and are grateful the boys will have these videos and pictures.

Derek is really growing up. I don't know why, but I love this pictures of him with his back turned. I can't believe he is almost three. Time goes to quickly.

I was able to get some video before we left for MI, of the boys being silly. Nathan loves to laugh and will make himself laugh all the time. It is so cute. In fact they are up laughing right now in there bedroom instead of sleeping. Silly boys. When they get my age they will want to sleep. Maybe I am the silly one.

Daniel!!!!

We got to meet and hold little Daniel today. He is just as sweet and tiny as can be. We meet with the birth mother for a few hours. She enjoyed the boys a lot. We have been at the hospital for several hours. Daniel will be in here till Friday. He is doing well. He did check our once, but had to go back in because of a low temp. It is hard to keep preemies warm. He is doing well. Our paper work is signed and going through the courts. Derek and Nathan have enjoyed seeing him. They have both hugged and kissed him. I will post videos and pictures when we get home.

Daniel's Coming Home!!!

We just received word from the agency that we are to be in MI, to sign paperwork and pick up Daniel on Wednesday. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We can't wait to hold our little guy. We were told a few days ago, that because the birth mother had not been to court that we may have stay in MI, for 4-8 weeks. Yuck. Not so. We will be there for about a week. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less. How wonderful. Keep checking back for pictures. We will have tons for you to see soon. Thanks for all the prayers in our and Daniel's behalf.
