Christmas

We had a great Christmas weekend.  Santa surprised the boys by coming to our house for a visit.  Thank you so much for surprising our boys.  They loved it.  It snowed all of Christmas Eve, so after lunch we headed outside, had a snowball fight, made snow angels, dug snow forts to protect ourselves during the fight, and then last of all Jordan and Derek dug a tunnel through the forts. 

 

Christmas day the boys began early.  Daniel woke up around 4:00am, not for Santa, but to snuggle.  He went back to bed, but Nathan came upstairs around 4:50am to see what Santa left.  I got him into bed with Daniel and daddy and headed back to sleep, but not for long as Derek came up at 5:30.  At that point I gave up and we all got up, except Levi. 

 We had bought a marble roller about 3 years ago for the boys and realized they were to young for it so it sat in storage until this Christmas when mom reminded us of it. That was a hit. The boys played for about 30 mins with it before even opening their stockings.  That is why Levi stayed in bed a bit longer.  It took Jordan almost 2 hours to get this up and running.  When we finally let Levi out to join us, he promptly broke it with one big push.  Poor Jordan. 

 We found a great deal on really warm soft blankets for the boys.  Not so much a fun present, but they have all enjoyed snuggling up in them.  The big boys each got a fishing pole.  They can't wait to go fishing.  Daniels hit present was two "Mike the Knight" books.  He loves pretending to be Mike the Knight. 

 Grandpa and Grandma Fuller gave Levi this adorable bouncy horse.  Daniel and Levi love it.  Levi is so cute as he bounces his horse around the house.  All in all we had a wonderful Christmas.  We had a nice brunch and Grandpa and Grandmas.  Relaxed all afternoon, and then had a nice simple dinner.  I think the boys had fun in spite of the fact that we kept things really simple. 

 

We decided to do things more then buy things.  Like going swimming, bowling, going to chuck-e-cheeses, out to dinner, fishing, etc.  We went bowling yesterday and that was a hit.  Next year we are going to take the boys on a trip.  We want to build memories more then buy gifts that will soon be forgotten. 

A visit from the farm....

Best Christmas Suprise this year, was Grandpa and Grandma Yeager showing up for an early Christmas visit.  My dad owns his own farm/feedlot and rarely gets to leave so it was a great treat when they called to tell us they were on there way for a quick visit.  Daniel was beside himself with excitement.  He thinks his Grandpa Yeager is the best.

 Jordan and his boys love seaweed.  Derek and Jordan fight over who gets to eat the seaweed when we eat at the Korean Restaruant.  So, my mom got a great gift for them, a giant package of seaweed.  I love his confused look ass he is opening it and the big smile when he realizes what it is.

Temple Square Lights

I always love going to downtown Salt Lake and seeing all the lights that the LDS Church puts up on Temple Square.  They are beautiful.  This year I made sure to go on a quiet night, like a Tuesday or Thursday night.  Last year we went on opening night and it was insane.  This time it was wonderful, and easy to walk around and enjoy the lights. 

 They have nativities from all around the world up.  It is so wonderful to see all the different cultures and how they represent the Savior

 I love that Levi's brother's can get the biggest smile out of him.  He may not be looking at the camera, but he is so happy and cute.
