The Adventures of Derek

This video is the final act in a long week of Derek the curious. Here is a short version of some of what he did this week. Learned to flush toilet and repeatedly did it, climbed onto toilet and turned sink on and got water every where more times then I can count, threw a sippy cup full of milk at my head which left a goose egg, dumped a large bag of chocolate chips all over the kitchen, pulled every pot and pan our of the cupboards, decided potatoes are for him to eat raw, and then threw them all over the house, and the list could go on. The video happened Sunday after church. He loves to swim so much he decided he needed to swim in the toilet. No wonder I am always tired. Nathan follows his brother everywhere and has learned to join in on the notty adventures. Lucky me. But on a good note, Nathan has slept threw the night 3 times in a row. Yeah!!!!

Circus Comes to Town

The Carson and Barnes Circus came to town this weekend. We had a blast. Derek loved the animals. He was especially in love with the goats. We spent a lot of time by them. He picked handfuls of grass and feed the goats. He even tried to climb in the pen with them. We were able to go on Elephant rides. Derek loved it. He wanted to go again and again. He even tried to sneak a ride when I wasn't looking. I caught him heading up the stairs by himself. Nothing scares him, not even giant animals.

Good Times

Oh So Cute!!! What more is there to say.

We had the county fair this week. It was fun to take the boys around to see all the animals. Derek loved it, especially when he got to pet an animal. He was even OK with the bunnies after one bit him. It didn't draw blood so it must not have bit him to hard. He is picking up lots or words and the second time we walked into the barn he looked at the baby calves and said, "cow" instead of doggy.

We Spent the 4th of July at Jordan's Brother's Place. We had lots of fun. Here is Nathan with 3 of their 5 kids, Logan, Aundi, and Aubrie. We are, of course, outside swimming.

Derek decided a while ago that he should be the one in charge of mowing the lawn. He helped me mow the entire hard which took almost an hour. He loved it. I only wish you could keep that desire in them as they grow.

I thought I would see if a video would work. It took a long to upload, but I think it worked. Derek and Nathan love each other so much. No one can get Nathan to laugh as much as his brother can. This is a video of Derek making him laugh. You can also see how small our bedroom is. Yes that is our cloths hanging right next to the bed. We are sure hoping our house sells soon so we can find something a bit bigger. At least there is less cleaning!!!
