Making Memories

The following videos are some of my favorite. I just wish the sun wouldn't have been in the way. When I was a little girl I remember making pies, cookies, and cakes with my grandmother, great grandmother, and mother all the time. That was the beginning of my love for cooking. I can remember many a time when I would help my grandma and great grandma, whom I called Great Great, to make cookies. A lot of times my great grandmother would let me help for a bit and then sit with me in a old rocking recliner and hold me and rock and sing to me. She always sang "Spring Time in the Rockies" Those are some of my favorite memories. I decided to pass those onto my boys. So, with Nathan asleep I went to work on Daddy's V-day pie, with Derek's help. We even sang my song, and I talked to him about my grandmother and great grandmother. It was wonderful. We have done cookies in the past, but this was our first pie. He is a natural.

Christmas

So, this is better late then never. It take so long to down load videos, but with our camera's flash not working it is better to take the time then to do nothing. We need a new camera. All in time. Christmas was a blast this year. The kids loved it as you can see.

What Once Was Lost, Now Is Found

Rejoice!!!! I am so happy. About 2 weeks ago I took my wedding ring off and CTR ring to make bread. Both from Jordan. The CTR was the first present he ever gave me. Since then I was unable to locate either of them. I had searched and searched. Today, I have found my wedding ring. We are heading to Omaha to go to the Temple this weekend. I was packing, and underneath our Temple bags there was my ring. How it got there I will never know. We have not moved those bags for 3 months or so. No CTR ring, but that is OK. If is shows up that would be an added blessing from the Lord, but my wedding ring is truly a wonderful blessing from God. I have prayed and prayed I would find it. I had to share my happy news.

Super Women

I decided I should brag about all I have accomplished the last 2 days. With my boys this is a big deal.

Made 4 loaves of Molasses bread
Made 2 loaves of Marbled Rye bread
Made 2 loaves of Marbled Wheat bread
Made 2 loaves of French Bread
Made 60 dinner rolls
Made 1 loaf of Cranberry Orange Bread
Made 1 Pan of Blueberry Strussel Bread
Kept up with the dishes
Kept the down stairs clean
Washed, Dried, and Folded 9 loads of Laundry
Made Taco Pizza for dinner last night
Went to Enrichment
Spent time with my kids
Spent time with my husband,
Etc.

Why did I make so much bread you ask. Because we are having a ward party tonight and I said I would provide the bread and lots of different kinds for everyone to try. Silly me. But it has been fun. How has your week been?

Family Trip

We had a great weekend. Jordan needed to deliver some time sensitive materials to Des Moines and we got to go along on Friday. After he took care of work stuff, we headed to the mall. They have a great Mall in West Des Moines, with a nice play place for kids. We let the boys play, play, play. We then went to get dinner. We each picked a different spot from the food court. The boys got Wendy's, Jordan went for Asian, and I went to Panera bread. It was great. We each got what we wanted. Then we walked around some more and played. The boys loved it. Everyone kept telling them how cute they were and Derek soaked up the attention. We even went to Cold Stones and got ice cream. Yummy.

On Saturday the boys got to go to a swimming birthday party. They had lots of fun. Sunday was the usual gone all day. Now we are to Monday. It has been a good day. I have done some cleaning, and made molasses bread, and a cake roll. The elders are coming for dinner so I am cooking lots of yummys. I love it.
