Dear Family and Friends,
We wish you all a Merry Christmas!!! We hope you have had a good year. Times seem to be hard for so many people around the world, with economic problems, wars, natural disasters, famine, and so much more. With all the troubles that have happened and continue to happen we are so grateful to the Lord for the blessing we have in our lives.
This year has been a good year for us. We enjoyed the first part of the year spent in Iowa. Iowa had the worst winter in over 100 years. We received so much snow, it was incredible. Then to top it off summer brought incredible amounts of rain and flooding. Thankfully our basement stayed dry and we had heat all winter. In April we were blessed to see a lot of family and friends in Omaha to have Daniel sealed to us. He is such a joy to our family. We are so grateful he is part of our forever family. We also got to go to the zoo, which the boys loved.
The older boys got to spend several weeks throughout the year at Grandpa and Grandma Yeager’s farm. We would meet in the middle and give my mom the boys for a week and she would take them for loads of fun on the farm. They love horses, 4-wheeler rides, cows, chickens, and all that comes with farm life. These breaks were nice for me and the boys. They were especially appreciated after I had had thyroid surgery and still needed to pack up the house for our move to Utah. The thyroid surgery was to remove a benign nodule growing on it. All went well, another blessing from the Lord.
The end of the year brought us to Utah. Jordan had felt throughout the year that we needed to move to Utah. After looking for work a short while without success he asked me to consider moving without work. At first I said no way. He asked me to pray about it as he felt strongly the Lord wanted us in Utah. After prayer, I realized also that that was the direction we were to supposed to go. So the end of August saw us loading a U-haul to Utah and saying goodbye to all our friends in Iowa and Omaha. We miss them so much, but we know we are where we are supposed to be.
Utah has been great to us. We are so grateful to Jordan’s parents for letting us live with them as Jordan looks for work. The boys have loved being closer to grandparents, great grandparents, and so many cousins. Derek has started praying every night for his cousins. It is so sweet. We also love the mountains and all the hiking and camping we can do.
We have been blessed greatly by the Lord. Just a few days ago Derek saw a picture of Jesus and smiled and looked at me and said, “I love my Jesus.” We all are so grateful to our Savior for his atonement and the great love he has for each of us. We are loved and blessed by our Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ. We hope each of you will feel of His love and blessing throughout Christmas and the New Year. We love you all.
